We’re heading to the Indian Summer or Australian-Asian Spring with renewed energies and always ambitious objectives! In this letter we bring notice on:
- The highlights of GCD’s strategy and roadmap 2022-24 as approved by the recent General Meeting of Members from June 2022 (ask your copy of the GCD Activity Report)
- The next (long expected) In Person GCD Conference will be generously hosted by HSBC: check the program, register and pencil in your agendas a trip to London for November 7th-8th, 2022
- Latest updates on GCD Data Pools and Usage by members.
Last, but not least: we are glad to welcome Mr. Simon Ross Hansen (Nykredit, Denmark) newly elected Chair Person of the GCD Board of Directors, and we warmly thank the current incumbent Mr. Theo Van Drunen (ABN Amro, The Netherlands) for his years of service and contributions to GCD. These news alone warrant some celebration at our next London Conference.

Highlights of GCD’s strategy and roadmap 2022-24:
Our collective assessment of 2019-2021 realizations and the current context dictate a specific path for 2022-24: - GCD will keep providing close and reinforced support to members delivering and using the pooled data
- Aiming at developing the user base – not only the member base – by reinforcing the visibility and demonstrating the quality of GCD risk metrics and pooled data
- Proposing a simpler data-partnership based on less granular data requirements/returns to participants for easier and better automated sharing of risk information
- Promoting Partnership projects for co-branded services leveraging the full potential of the GCD data pools

| New Deputy-Chair of GCD's Methodology Committee | |
GCD is glad to officially announce that Dr. Michael Jacobs Jr. (PNC, America) has been nominated and elected as Deputy Chair of GCD’ s Methodology Committee. GCD welcome Michael and thank the current incumbent Mr. Pubudu Premawardena (Scotiabank, Canada), for his years of service and contributions to the Methcom. We are glad that Pubudu will continue to be a member of the Methcom. Together with the Methcom chairperson, Dr. Stephan Jortzik (ANZ, Australia), we know that Michael will be able to make a deeper contribution to the banking system and shape new frontiers in credit risk modeling. | |

| New GCD Board Chairperson | |
Simon Ross HansenBoard member (since December 2010) Mr. Simon Ross-Hansen is presently heading the credit modelling unit at Nykredit. His career credentials include leadership roles in Nordea and Danske Bank heading different credit modelling units, portfolio management as well as bank's risk control unit. Before joining Danske Bank he was a consultant both in and outside the financial sector.
Mr. Ross-Hansen holds a Master's degree from the Danish Technical University, as well as a Bachelor's in Finance from the Copenhagen Business School. He lives in Greater Copenhagen.
